The Art of Make Change Happen

Six half days on the art of leading change: reading what it asks for, and bringing the right approaches together.

You run today’s business and build tomorrow’s, with the same people and on the same agenda. The choice about where you’re heading is made. Now it has to take hold in the daily work, next to this year’s results and the rules and standards you meet, each with hard deadlines of its own.

Meanwhile several changes run at once: a new system, a new team structure, a different way of working with clients. They all land with the same people. And those people already know your clients best.

What opens up

That’s where the energy sits. Many people in service chose their work because they want to help others, and a change that gives that drive room starts to carry itself.

No single method carries a change like this. Kotter creates movement, Bridges helps people through what they leave behind, and small experiments show what works in practice. The art is reading what each change asks for and bringing those approaches together.

That’s our work. In this program, you practice it on your own change, from the first session.

Why us

Twenty-five years with mid-sized service providers. The only partner of Kotter Training in the Benelux, and the only one in the region authorized to certify people in its methods. Bridges for the human side of transition, LEGO® Serious Play® to build ideas together, our own models (the Service Evolution Framework and Small-Grand-Grandiose), and clients we work with for years.

Direction, route, and people. We do all three.

Six parts

Each part brings in one way of leading change and connects it to the change you're leading right now. One question runs through all six: what does this change mean for the work that matters to people?

PART 1

What kind of change is this?

Five kinds of changeCynefin

Read your change before you choose an approach. Several kinds of change, each with its own rhythm.

PART 2

What does it ask of people?

Bridges Transition Model

Change is an event, transition is what people go through. What people let go of, and what helps them find their footing.

PART 3

How do you create movement?

Kotter's 8 Accelerators

Urgency people feel, a network of volunteers, and room to experiment while the business keeps delivering.

PART 5

What does it ask of you?

Leading yourselfLeading as a team

Your own habits under pressure, and how your leadership team works together.

PART 6

What is your route?

Everything comes together in a route for your own change, with owners and dates.

How we work

Better questions first. You bring your own change and work on it from the first session. Each part opens with what you tried since the last one and ends with an assignment you take back to your work. Björn Bierhaalder leads the sessions and brings in specialists for specific parts.

The Service Evolution Masterclass is a good place to start before this program, and you can also begin here.

For leaders who join on their own, alongside leaders from other service firms. You bring the change you're leading and learn from how others lead theirs.

What kind of change are you leading?

Forty-five minutes, with the change in front of you as the starting point. We bring our read on what it asks of you and your people. A good place to begin, before the first part.
